Commissioned by the Steele Briggs Seed Company in 1911. Designed by Sproatt and Rolph, the building is distinguished by the different yet complementary detailing on the south, west, and north sides; the orderly organization of doors and windows was a popular design style for industrial and commercial buildings, as it provided light and access to the interior. Inside, the building is a typical warehouse style, with brick and beam construction supporting high ceilings; the support timbers remain visible. A new development by Sweeny&Co is currently planned to abut the existing building, replacing the 1940s annex to the east elevation of the 1911 warehouse.
