Award of Merit from the Ontario Masons Council and the Ontario Association of Architects.
St. Joan of Arc Church was completed in 1967, designed by architect William Sacciccio. The church's hexagonal design is intended to bring parishioners closer to the altar, in contrast to a rectangular design which creates distance between individuals and the priest. The altar also features a hexagonal baldaccino (canopy) that echoes the shape of the church\\\'s interior. Sacciccio was presented with an Award of Merit by the Ontario Masons Council and the Ontario Association of Architects for the design of St. Joan of Arc.
