This property was owned by James and Margaret Hewgill from 1886 to 1913. They were members of a large Yorkshire family who had settled in Peel County.  The house is believed to have been built c. 1915 by Edward Moody.  From 1919 to 1960, it was owned by members of the Curran family: John and Theresa until 1956, followed by William and Eleanor.
