This house was built by the engineer responsible for rebuilding the seawall on the Toronto Island. The house was one of the few to survive the razing of houses on the Toronto Island by the Metropolitan Toronto level of government in the 1950's. Later, it served as the home of the preist at the Church of St. Andrew-by-the-Lake. It currently houses a restaurant.
