Notes:

The main part of this building contains no structural steel, but consists only of carved marble, limestone and sandstone. The materials were carved by hundreds of volunteers in India, and shipped to Toronto where they were assembled. The building includes an entrance area which includes a museum and meeting rooms, with a covered walkway to the main part of the temple.
BAPS is a worldwide civic and religious organization established in India in 1907, the creation of Bochasanwasi Shree Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha.

The building was officially opened by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
