This church affectionately called the \"Chapel of Ease\" and a house were built and designed by Rev. William A. Johnston in 1858. Every aspect of the Anglican church including interiors and pews were designed by the Reverand. Initially the building was used as both a place of worship as well as a private school for young boys in the area. The building was moved onto Weston Road in 1894 in order to be a more central attraction in the Village of Weston. The building that is currently known as St Johns used the wooden chapel as a frame and houses the original pews. A restoration to the church occurred in 1999.
