Kingdun Apartments at the corner of King Street West and Dunn Avenue is aptly named. Built in 1928, its Spanish Colonial Revival design announces itself boldly at an intersection crowded with Edwardian, Gothic Revival, and Queen Anne houses. Its roofing of barrel tiles – also called monk and nun tiles – is rare in South Parkdale, and in Toronto generally.
