In 1913, the congregation purchased two homes at 10 & 12 St. Andrew Street, and later moved to this location from 'The Ward' in 1916.  The congregation commissioned architects Kaplan & Sprachman to build a new synagogue, which began construction in 1922 and was completed in 1930.
