Completed in 1887 for Dr. Henry Machell, one of the founders of The Hospital for Sick Children; designed by architect D.B. Dick. In 1920, the Salvation Army converted the house into a women's shelter known as Catherine Booth Rescue Home. Since World War II, the house has served as a childcare centre. The Westside Montessori School currently operates out of the house.
