A lauded piece of postmodern design by Jack Diamond and Donald Schmitt, Toronto's Central YMCA was completed in 1984 and received numerous Canadian architecture awards during its first years. Originally called Metro Toronto Central YMCA until amalgamation in 1998, the branch has one of the largest memberships in the world.
