Information:

The Davies Terrace has had 2 large fires since 2018. In January 2021, Developers also released an intensive proposal for a 15-storey condominium building on the block. 

 

The first fire was in April 2018 and destroyed the eastmost section of the terrace. The second fire was in June 2020 and destroyed the middle of the terrace. The properties had been recently sold prior to the June 2020 fire and were under renovation.

 

The surviving 3 buildings on the block - 467, 469, and 481 Queen Street East - were Listed on the Heritage Register as part of the batch listings of properties in the King-Parliament area. 

 

In January 2021, Developers released a proposal for a 15-storey condominium for the block.

The Davies Terrace was constructed in 1877 by Robert Davies for workers at the Dominion Brewery. The Dominion Brewery was owned by Davies and located immediately across the street.
