56 Bond Street was designed and constructed in 1924/1925 by architect Ewart G. Wilson.
56-60 Bond Street first housed the Public Utilities Recreation Club, the Toronto Railway Employees Union, and various smaller organizational offices (c. mid-1920s to mid-1930s). It later housed the The Women's League of Health & Beauty (c. 1939/1940) and the Toronto Auditorium and Toronto Sporting Club (c. 1941).
In 1941/1942, 56-60 Bond Street beame home to St. Michael's Parish Hall.
In 2021, 56 Bond Street was proposed for demolition as part of an expansion of neighbouring St. Michael's Choir School.
