OTHER IDENTIFICATION
Notes:
33 Elmcrest Road is a result of infill housing, a process in which modern homes take the place of pre-existing structures. Its architectural style, sometimes referred to as Neo-Eclectic, is typical of late 1980s and 1990s subdivision construction in the GTA. Its most traditionally recognizable features are the two second-floor Palladian windows.

Houses of this style are generally larger than those of the suburban developments of preceding decades, such as Victory Houses, yet utilize smaller lots. This maximization of land can be seen at 33 Elmcrest Road, as it was built along with 27 and 31 Elmcrest Road on what was previously a single lot belonging to Maryon Brechin (1919-2011), recipient of the Order of Canada (1975) and an Alumni of Honour at University of Guelph (1982).
