Notes:
This was originally marketed as "Downtown Plaza" (a proposal which replaced the earlier "First Toronto Tower" by the same developer). It was re-branded as Sapphire Tower and a height increase was sought at City Council in competition with the Trump Tower, being marketed at the same time. In November, 2005, the height increase was rejected by City Council. In the winter of 2007, the building was redesigned, lowered in height to 62 storeys (from 73 and from a one-time proposed height of 90 storeys). By the end of 2007, however, the proposal had crumbled completely and the land was sold to Skyline International Development Ltd.
