In November 2021, the Lamb Development Corporation proposed demolition of 778-788 King Street West (including 778 King Street West) as part of a 17-storey condominium redevelopment.
778 King Street West is a 2-storey industrial building dating to 1947. 778 King Street West was first home to the York Wool Mending Company. During the late 1980s, 778 King Street West was renovated into gallery space by Lett / Smith Architects for the Ydessa Hendeles Art Foundation. The building presently houses the offices of the Lamb Development Corporation.
