14-18 Baldwin Street were constructed in 1874 and have later commercial (storefront) additions on their ground floor. 

The first occupants of 14-18 Baldwin Street - as of 1874 - were: 

14 Baldwin Street:  Frederick Gaudin - a tailor. 

16 Baldwin Street:  Reverend James Joseph Rice (1830-1908) - then a pastor at the Bible Christian Church, which was located at the corner of Lippincott Street and Ulster Street (formerly Buller Street). Rev. Rice was born in Twillingate, Newfoundland in 1830 and spent time in Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island as a printer's apprentice before entering the ministry. Rev. Rice spent many years with the Bible Christian Church congregation in Toronto. He died in Toronto in 1908.

18 Baldwin Street:  Charles Martin - a civil engineer. 

14-18 Baldwin Street were some of the first properties built on the north side of Baldwin Street. Notably, the north side of Baldwin Street was still undeveloped as of 1873, whereas the south side of the street had some development by this point in time. 

Please note that the segment of Baldwin Street west of Spadina Avenue was a separate street known as "Baldwin Street West" as of this point in time and did have early development on both sides of the street as of 1873. 

A warehouse addition was constructed on the rear of 18 Baldwin Street in the late 19th or early 20th century, although has since been demolished. 

As of 2020/2021, 16 Baldwin Street is the only remaining house of this row. 

Circa. 2018/2019, 14R Baldwin Street and 18 Baldwin Street were demolished. This was despite community support for saving 18 Baldwin Street.

Circa. 2019/2020, 14 Baldwin Street was demolished following a restaurant fire. 

Presently, 16 Baldwin Street is the only surviving house of this row. 

As of early 2021, 10-14 and 18 Baldwin Street were listed for sale as a development opportunity.
