306-308 Bathurst Street was constructed on the north section of the private grounds of neighbouring 304 Bathurst Street, which were severed for redevelopment. 

 

306-308 Bathurst Street was likely built by Thomas Rickeard, a builder who resided next door at 304 Bathurst Street during the 1880s/1890s. Rickeard was originally from Cornwall, England.  

 

 

The front yard of 306-308 Bathurst Street has one of the largest surviving elm trees in downtown Toronto.
