This former 1912 stables building was converted into a residence in 1942. It was originally part of "The Hollow," the estate of the prominent York Mills Boultbee family, which comprised most of the present-day Toronto neighbourhood of Hogg's Hollow.
Toronto Heritage Planning recommended that 19 Plymbridge Crescent be listed on the City’s heritage register on February 16, 2021. Their recommendation cited the building's cultural heritage value as a geographically unique example of a converted stables and a remnant of the former Boultbee family estate, representing rare insight into an early period of the historical development of York Mills. This action was adopted by Toronto's Preservation Board on February 17, 2021.
On the 2021 May long weekend, 19 Plymbridge Crescent was extensively, though not entirely, demolished despite the homeowners not having acquired a demolition permit from the City of Toronto. As of June 21, 2021, it remains unclear what the repercussions will be.
The converted Tudor Revival home's architectural features of interest included its cross-gabled roof.
