The foundation acquired an already existing temple at 80 Brydon Dr and an adjacent building which was converted into a community centre. The site occupies over 30,000 sq.ft of land and is constructed using marble and granite imported from India. The temple complex itself mimics the 9th century Sharada Peetham in Sringeri. The renovation of the temple began in 2009 and was completed in 2010, according to the traditions and guidelines of South Indian temples. An example of this is seen with huge Rajagopuram in the front. The three most prominent features of the temple are the Gopuram, Mandapam (where marriages and other ceremonies take place), and the Ceremonial passageway depicting teachings of Adi Shankaracharya (for whom the temple is dedicated to). The temple floor consists of heated granite and marble, a feature that acknowledges the location’s weather condiitons.
