Moved from its old home on Dundas Street East to its new one in the former Eastern Commerce Collegiate. Originally called Wandering Spirit Survival School, it was founded by Elder Pauline Shirt and the late Elder Vern Harper in the 1970s. The FNST School Advisory Council plays a vital role in the school and in the lives of students. The School Council is elected each year and provides advice on behalf of parents to the principal. The Urban Indigenous Community Advisory Committee is composed of First Nations, Métis, Inuit Elders and community members.
