In November 1983, the Metropolitan Separate School Board and the Archdiocese of Toronto announced plans to start a new Catholic high school in north Etobicoke for September 1984.
The new school was opened in November 2007. It cost $22-million, was three-storeys, and included a six-lane track and full-sized football and soccer fields. It was designed by ZAS Architects and built by Aquicon Construction.
