St. Gerard Majella and St. Philip Neri Catholic Schools have come together to form our newest Toronto Catholic District School, St. André.  Both St. Gerard Majella and St. Philip Neri Catholic Schools are steeped in a tradition of excellence.  St. Philip Neri was founded in 1953 on what was then called Ward Avenue which eventually became Beverly Hills Drive.  As the population grew in the area, there was a need for another Catholic School to serve the area north of Wilson Avenue and West of Jane Street and in 1971 St. Gerard Majella was built.
