The school opened in fall 1964 but it was officially opened by Prime Minister Pearson on January 22, 1965. Buildingâ€™s features include an open courtyard at the heart of the school, bringing natural light into the corridors and classrooms and a large mosaic mural at the entrance representing the history of man's quest for knowledge.
