St. Patrick Catholic School was established in 1852 as a elementary school in various places across Toronto. In 1986, a secondary school was opened on the old elementary school that closed in 1983. St. Patrick High moved to the former Lakeview Secondary School in the Danforth and Greenwood area in 1989. This school has been leased to the Toronto Board of Education and later the TDSB as its Education Office before Heydon Park occupied this location.
