Notes:
The house was designed and built by engineer Roy Abraham with the aid of architect, Allen E. Jessop in 1964 using reclaimed bricks from the old Plains Road School.
"Mr. Jessop did contribute greatly to the layout and production of the drawings in cooperation with the concept outline I had; in scope and architectural "Japanese" elevations and details. He contributed nothing more. The gull-wing eaves are comparable to the Japanese shed roof---no eavestroughs but we required downspouts. It is notable that PM John Diefenbaker attended Plains Road School in East York which my wife Barbara had attended and was being demolished, whereupon I was able to recycle the brick on the interior and exterior walls of the new dwelling."
