The Canada Foundry Company built this complex of buildings in 1903, close to the railway tracks that cross the Junction. The company was absorbed by the Canadian General Electric Company in 1923, who continued to operate on the premises until 1981.

More recently, this building has been converted into residential use, known as the Foundry Lofts.
