As of 1875, 781 Adelaide Street West was home to John Morrison - a leather inspector and expressman. Morrison lived here until the early-to-mid 1930s. 

 

781 Adelaide Street West has been renumbered several times. Former addresses include: 107 Little Adelaide Street, 117 Little Adelaide Street, and 89 Defoe Street.
