Completed in 1964; designed by Allward & Gouinlock.  

From the September 1963 RAIC Journal: "Many of the features of this school resulted from a survey, conducted by the Toronto Board of Education, on school systems in the U.S. Monarch Park will have year round air-conditioning and only one third of the classrooms (in the proportion of eight per cent of wall area) will have exterior windows. The auditorium and library wing will be available for use after school hours and has been designed for the future addition of two storeys; flooring in the library will be broadloom. Structure of the building is steel frame and exterior materials are brick and exposed precast concrete. Total floor area is 160,000 sq. ft, providing facilities for 1,200 students, and cost has been estimated at approximately $3,500,000."
