Information:
Premier Ford announced in April 2023 that the government intends to close and demolish the Ontario Science Centre and relocate the collection to a proposed new 500,000 s.f. facility at Ontario Place. Public opinion has been strongly against this decision.

This building consists of an entry and administrative wing at street level, and several levels that descend the side of a ravine, designed by Raymond Moriyama early in his career.

It was a Finalist in the Massey Medals for Architecture of 1970.

In 1996, the IMAX Dome Theatre was added by Zeidler Roberts Partnership. It remains as Ontario's only IMAX Dome theatre. Renovations at this time also reconfigured the reception hall.
