1859-1863 Davenport Road / 502-504 Symington Avenue is located at the southwest corner of Davenport Road and Symington Avenue in the Carleton Village neighbourhood.  The building dates to circa 1890 and first housed a grocery shop and the Davenport Village post office operated by William Rowntree. The Rowntrees lived above the shop.   

The building is included in the Carleton Village - Davenport Centennial Walking Tour.
