In 2019, Makow Architects Associates Ltd. posted plans on their website for a new redevelopment - the Annex Lofts - at the northeast corner of Bathurst Street and Bridgman Avenue. This redevelopment would see the demolition of 1175 Bathurst Street / 84 Bridgman Avenue and adjacent properties. However, as of early August 2021, no formal redevelopment application has been made available in the City of Toronto Application Information Centre.

The building was constructed in 1942 and first home to the Sackville Shops - a furniture refinishing and upholstering business. By 1943, the Elvidge Printing Company had also moved into the building alongside Sackville Shops.
